Capitals @ Maple Leafs - Dec. 6th, 7:00pm - TSN, Fan 590

Have we had one of those fluke bounce goals yet this year. I'm sure we have but I can't think of one

I have missed most of this but when I look at the shot clock and see 16 or whatever, we deserve to be behind. That's just not enough attack.

Washington player just got involved in the play without a helmet....that s a penalty

Caps did play well but I've got to hope the Leafs have another offensive gear in them as injured players come back. Don't win too many games scoring 1 goal.

Washington deserved that win. Hopefully with our secondary players about the come back the complete nothing we are getting from the depth changes.

Media: "Robertson didn't play much down the stretch what what can he take away from from tonight's game?"
Berube: "I just went with three lines I didn't think he had much going on"

Shift Chart

Robertson's linemates, Minten and Lorentz, kept playing in the 3rd while Robertson sat - so it wasn't a 'line' thing.
There was some kind of perceived issue in Berube's eye with Robertson's play
Grebenkin also had his ice time reduced in the 3rd.

With Pacioretty and Domi about to return and Minten continuing to make a case for himself, it was not good timing by Robertson & Grebenkin to underperform

When a ref makes a pass that advantageous for a team I think they should have the option of waiving it off or blowing the play dead.

Personally think Robertson should be the first to sit if someone comes back tonight. I know he scored a nice goal the other night and tries hard and all, but mentally he seems messed up. That attempted drop pass to Tavares last night sealed it for me. Sit him for a game or two and let him reset. Next guy out of the lineup should be Grebenkin. Great story, and he has a future with the team, but needs to be playing big minutes every night for the Marlies.
After that...hello Holmberg, there's a spot on the bench waiting...though it all depends on if everyone gets healthy and if they decide to do something more drastic like move out Kampf and/or Reaves.
