That seems so childish to me, these guys are supposed to be professional. Lots of NHL teams have this type of ritual. The Capitals pass around an Abe Lincoln beard and hat for their player of the game.

Who really care if they didn't salute the fans! I am not a fan of the Ranger which is where it started.
