Wasn’t he in St Louis with Bérubé?He seems like a guy who COULD play well in a Berube system. His 23/24 season was great. His 22/23 and 24/25 seasons don't match his cap hit.
I like the pickup overall though as it's definitely a sign that the team is committed to getting guys who are heavier to play against.
For whatever reason I was convinced he was a righty and only just noticed a bit ago that he wasn't. We'll see how that all shakes out with the lines.A lotta lefties, but at least he’s a speedy, heavy forechecky body, not all them little ones we have. This probably closes the door on a Pacioretty return.
My goal of seeing a Tavares+smushers third line continues apace. Would also consider a Macelli-Tavares-Joshua line to replicate an upgraded Bjugstad-Crouse situation.
I think a similar player with a right shot would really start putting the pieces in place.
This would have been something if the Theodore trade went down.Leafs collecting players who’ve recovered from testicular cancer like Infinity Stones
I guess Tre is banking now on both Maccelli and Joshua having to bounce back this year.
That's over $6m in cap space that's being gambled.
Joshua, at the very least, will be a very effective forechecker who can chip in a little offence. He might not justify his cap hit, but he'll be an effective player and the Leafs still have space to make moves - especially if/when Kampf and/or Jarnkrok get moved.I guess Tre is banking now on both Maccelli and Joshua having to bounce back this year.
