Euro 2012 Thread

Was furious when I found out I was working today. But now...you know...doesn't seem that bad that I missed it.

You didn't miss much, but that's sport especially in a one game, winner take all format.  Italy didn't play anywhere near it's best, guess the team peaked in the semi  finals.  Spain was far and away the better team yesterday.  It's too bad we didn't get a competitive final.  Onto the confederations cup next summer!

So Iniesta is named player of the tournament Euro 2012.  He's been an integral presence in this amazing run for Spain over the past 4-6 years.  When does the conversation about him being one of the greatest players ever, begin?  Is he up there with Pele, Maradonna, Cruyff ..............?  Is it Iniesta that makes Spain great or Spain that makes Iniesta great.  Regardless he has been one my favorite players to watch the since the WC2010.  Congratulations Andres!

I hear what you're saying but Spain didn't seem to miss a beat without Villa who is a big part of their central attack, but I do agree with you that Iniesta really makes everything work and is one of the greatest players of the past 2 decades.

GoalRef is a Danish-German project using magnetic sensors in the goalposts to track a special ball.

Wonder if something similar could be adapted for the NHL someday.
