FEEDBACK ON NEW FORUM SOFTWARE

I would say it's more than likely a DNS propagation issue. Try rebooting all your devices if at home, including modem and router if you have separate components. Do a full reboot on phones, tablets and computers. If possible, search how to clear the DNS cache on your particular device, though a reboot should clear it.

Phones, tablets, computers and routers like to cache DNS requests, so it speeds up content delivery. Your local DNS cache is like an address book. As long as your friend hasn't moved, the address in your book is correct. If your friend moves, you no longer have the correct address.

There are untold copies of DNS records all over the internet. Sometimes the DNS server fulfilling the request has outdated data in it. Not every DNS request is fulfilled by the same DNS server. So you click on a forum link and that DNS request is fulfilled by one server that has the correct DNS address, another time you click a link and that request is fulfilled by another server with outdated data.

Some DNS requests are blocked if a DNS entry is new. This is a security feature to block newly registered servers from doing nefarious things.

Since the forums have moved to a new server, I would suspect that is what is happening for some people.

I just tried updating my picture and it worked fine. If you guys that are having difficulties get an error, can you please share it with us? A screenshot or copy the text would be perfect.

As for DNS, @Guru Tugginmypuddah has some good suggestions.

Finally, the passkey issue still persists and I don't get any support over at Xenforo so it's kind of in limbo right now.

I can't load most of my bear photos (hosted on imgur, immigrated from photobucket) it keeps telling me 'we ran into some problems'. I wonder if the files are just too big. The MatthewsBear works because it's just a tiny one but NylanderBear doesn't work, neither does GilmourBear :(

I just encountered the page load error and it stems from trying to load tmlfans.ca (old bookmark) instead of tmlfans.com or tmltoday.com.

The only way I can get to this site is by either;

or

(Ignore the quotes, the forum software turns it into a URL without it)

***EDIT***

My DNS was blocking tmltoday.com after removing the block it works now.

***EDIT #2***

As a result, tmlfans.ca is correctly redirecting to tmltoday.com

All those work for me right now. I was getting some error messages like that when the change first happened but not since the first couple days.

I tried to pop on on my work computer in the office at lunchtime today and got an error saying the site was dangerous and had been blocked by the UK national cyber security centre. So I logged off quickly before a man in a black suit and sunglasses came to get me and take me away.

I’ll try and get a screenshot next time.

That was going directly to the tmltoday.com address

Probably because tmltoday.com is a newly registered domain.

Hello. I love all you people and I haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about.

Great news, after updating the link from TMLFans to tmltoday the site is no longer blocked by my work vpn!
