Flyers @ Leafs - Mar. 8th, 7:00pm - CBC, SN 590

So they've used 3 of 4 now?

It's after the 3:00pm deadline that rules goes into effect. Holland and Ashton were called up that day before 3pm. So just one recall (McLaren) has been used.

None-the-less 18 games left in the season and you waste one on McLaren.  that's some good stuff.  I honestly better not hear Nonis/Carlyle talk about accountability and earning your role ever again in their careers.

Ah I thought they were recalled after the deadline.  That's good.

I guess you didn't hear that today the Leafs changed their motto above their dressing room entrance to "Entitled to nothing grateful for everything".

And no, I'm not making that up.

Although now that I think about it I remember after they were recalled that day Mirtle wrote that they were technically demoted and recalled later that afternoon. He said it was to make them eligible for the AHL playoffs but I'm not sure why that was the case as clear day rosters are no more. But checking the AHLs transactions page it does show that on March 5th they were recalled, returned, and then recalled again.

I don't know exactly when the 2nd and 3rd transactions were made, but Mirtle reported them after 3pm I think. So who knows, but I'm sure we'll get some clarification about it eventually.

Oh, my.  I suppose it's marginally better than the more gangsta "Entitled to everything, grateful for nothing."

The Flyers have been very good lately, but the Leafs also have a very respectable home record.

Hard to say which way this game will go.

Did I just see that above their stalls it says "Relentless conviction"?

I didn't see that, did I?

Nice to honour a good majority of the Canadian Olympic medalists.  Huge cheer for Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.  Alexandre Bilodeau brought his brother Frederic (has CP).  Hard to get upset when you honour these athletes.

Hopefully the Leafs actually bother to show up after the ceremony though.

Have brought in a brick to throw at the tv if the Leafs give up two short handed goals on a single power play.

Anyone having problems with their CBC feed?

Edit: Never mind, it worked after the fourth refresh.

Can someone explain the rationale in dressing 7 D vs continuing to have no 4th line virtually at all? It can't be that it keeps our D "fresher" - not by the way they are playing.

Always.  I usually have to abandon it and go with goatd.
