Game 1 - Habs @ Leafs - Thursday Oct 6th 2011 - 19:00 EST - 2-0 Win

I can't believe I get to be all excited about the Leafs for 3 days, then I have to wait a week for their 3rd game.

Yes, i find that to be pretty lame as well :(

Grabovski had better play - otherwise, leafs lose.

For the love of god and all that is holy, please, PLEASE, make the playoffs...

Just think of all the wonderful nit picking we'll be able to do! Hooray for over analyzing!

On the bright side, after two games you probably won't be all excited anymore. :)

That ran through my head.  If they lose these two games or get only 1 point at best it's going to be a real looooong week next week.  Especially watching TSN and all that going on and on how the Leafs are still looking for their first win, etc. etc.

I just don't see how there is ever a need for Rosehill to play.

Without MacArtuhur and Connolly that looks like one sorry bunch of forwards.

I haven't followed camp too much, did Kadri not look ready yet?

He didn't force his way onto the team, and he's injured. At times, he looked ready, at times, he did not. He's close, but, he's not there yet.

First off, Kadri is hurt (at least a couple weeks remaining I believe).

Secondly, IMO, he looked like he could play in the NHL, but not contribute in the manner we need from him.  He definitely looked better at this years camp than last year, but I'd personally start him in the AHL.

I was just going to post that exact same thought.

Get two tonight for the sake of next week for all of us, please!

OK, so Kadri is still not ready for top 6 duty, he hasn't progressed as quickly as I thought he would, but what can you do?  How bad is the injury?

Interesting to see Aullie not make the squad either, he must have had a lousy camp.  Real excited to see Gardiner play though, I haven't got to see any pre-season action, so tonights game will be my first look.

And with that forward lineup, I think there is going to be a lot of overanalyzing to do!

We are going to need the defense to chip in a goal or two or Price to break a leg to have much of a chance in this game.

Pretty much.  Even if everyone was in the lineup and healthy, the forwards are a pretty suspect bunch after Mac/Grabs/Kuli.

I like Rosehill out there on the 4th line. He can do more than chuck the knuckles.  Both he and Brown can skate and hit. Combine that with an "energy" center (Dupuis?) and you have a decent 4th line.

Come on boys! Let's start the season with a win and 2 points.

I've got that nervous energy feeling... Only 5 hours and 40 minutes till game time!
