Game 2: Leafs @ Bruins - Apr. 13th, 8:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

The fact debrusk didn?t get penalaized and will be playing the 3rdis bad.  The Leafs need to answer that but could risk discipline of their own since the refs won?t stop it.

Hrudey is right. Nylander has been the worst player tonight. I do agree with Kypreos on one thing. Play your lines and let them change theirs.

That bonehead mistake by Nylander is a killer. Only down 2 goals you're right back in it with a quick goal in the 3rd. 3-0 is a huge mountain to climb especially with the yellow and black refs tonight

Long time lurker here and i didnt expect a win tonight but the refs are to blame when this gets out of hand. I know it is the playoffs and you they let a bit more slide but there is a line and it is more for the cluching, grabbing and the battles. Not late hits. High hits. Knee on knee. I know i am obviously going to be a bit biased but no sane hockey fan can watch this and think the refs arent having a complete nightmare.

Thanks i am going back into the shadows.

So the refs are allowed to not call penalties because you look at them for not doing their job?  What is this nonsense and why are the talking heads agreeing that this is acceptable?

I?ll take that approach when I go to work in the ER tomorrow.  You looked at me to treat your pneumonia, nope, no therapy for you.

Just to add a bit of perspective: we got blown out both G1 and G2 last year.  This may end up 4-0 or 5-1 or whatever, but it has not been a blowout.  So already miles ahead of last year.

It?s the friggin playoffs, the refs have been fine.
Knee on knee allowed in the playoffs the suppose?
You're quoting something that was said in the 1st period.
Was it clean?  Refs were not fine from the start and this is what happens.  It?s completeley out of hand and still no calls.
Cry about it, the refs are not the reason the Leafs are getting doubled in shots.

Did I say the knee was clean what planet are you on?

And Ron is dead wrong.
That's idiotic. Leafs looking for help from the refs therefore non-call. A call is a call is a call. Call the game properly or we'll replace you with AI.

Waaaaaa! Waaaaaa! The refs! Waaaaaa!

The Leafs can't control the refs. They can't use their skill. They have no answer for that. This is the NHL folks. It's not all about skill. It never has been. It never will be. The Leafs need to adjust to what the game is, not what they think it is or want it to be.

You should post more.  The more the merrier, as they say.

That's what bugged me about Ron's comment.  The Leafs got the least number of calls this year because they whined every game?  Nonsense.  This is nothing compared to the old days.

Agreed. Boston came out completely amped up for this game, and even with the shot differential, I'm not all that upset about how they've played - theres been a good attempt at pushback. Nylander, though, has me really steamed.

No they can't. But this is a badly reffed game, even by NHL standards. It's not often you hear Ron and co. point out two non-calls.

I'm finally caught up (was watching on PVR).

I'll probably get shredded for this, but I'm on the fence about the kneeing. I'd probably say I'm leaning towards no penalty on that.

I would normally agree with not blaming the refs, but when you're being called on hockey rules and the other team is playing rugby, you have a handicap.
