I'm sure someone would have found a way to blame him for the goal too (no chance for him there, Lupul put absolutely everything he had into it).  I'm surprised he didn't fall to the ice from the force of his followthrough.

Yup. He and Skinner have been the only Canes that have showed up every night, and, now that Skinner's out with a possible concussion . . .

I probably disagree with his rambling BS a lot more than I agree but I did agree with his synopsis of running around on the PK some. The pendulum for pressuring the puck has swung too far the other way in recent games.

Having said that, Gardiner committed a fault we've also seen too often on the PK: a Leafs dman not taking the man in front of the net.

I'm grateful for the win. It was deserved though like others, Cam Ward didn't blow me away. He was just very steady allowing no softies. They could have helped their cause by going to the net a little more rather than giving Ward a number of saves where he could easily see the puck all the way.

In recent years past, that was the sort of game they didn't seem to win as often as they should. They continue to prove they're an improved club.
 
That Carolina team looks like a bunch of guys who have given up the season already.  They look like a disaster.
 
Yeah, Staal was non-existent.

So we finally meet up with Buffalo next.  First of 6.  They always give us such a hard time.  Hopefully they don't magically find their game against us.

Well, this is the point.  A superstar captain can't just go ka-poof the first 30 games.  He looks not even close to mediocre.
 
I was going to predict a 10 game losing streak and a last place finish for the Leafs.. but I'm pretty sure they're going to win the Cup now!!!
