Game 37: Flyers @ Leafs, 7:00PM EST April 4th, 2013 - Snet-Ont, CSN - PH

Just got back from watching the game at a friend's, and all I have to say is: I've had nightmares almost exactly like that game.

Let's hope Lupul won't be out for long and that this is a game we can indeed forget.  The Leafs need to be ready for whomever they play against from now until season's end as teams (yes, even the also-rans) will be jockeying for position to either eke into a playoff spot, or, play the role of spoiler.

Many teams are going to be elevating their game a notch, so the Leafs should too.  More production is needed from the likes of JVR, Grabovski, MacArthur and the rest.  A more balanced attack will help, especially now at this stage.
And please, Leafs defence, no more ugly turnovers!

Couldn't catch the game tonight, but I heard McLaren was good to go. Thank heavens. With him and Orr both in the line-up there's no way Philly's goons ran one of our stars.

Right guys?

Carlyle decided to employ them in an offensive role instead.

It certainly offended me.

The line combinations...

The officials...

Kostka?!?!?!?!?!

Oh Randy...

Lupul :(

I can take a missed call, even two, but last night was just so one sided it stunk. I dont believe its right to blame a loss on the refs, but after last night, I changed my mind. that  just stunk.

Can't convince me that Gardiner isn't at least as good an option as Kostka.

I'm surprised more people weren't on this. The fourth goal was Kostka's fault with that horrible giveaway. (Even though it shouldn't have counted)

Hopefully with O'Byrne entering the lineup Kostka can go back to the AHL. Sorry, but you can't make plays like that in the NHL.

After his play last night, I'm wondering if Kostka didn't just play his last game as a Leaf.

I remember seeing a highlight reel of flyer hits (maybe 12 or so) during the second intermission and thinking that half of them were penalties that weren't called.  Also I was pissed that 4 guys went after phaneuf in the first and he was given an offsetting minor for roughing with simmonds.

I guess we should get rid of Kulemin then.  :-\
