Isn't the play supposed to be whistled dead when the goalie loses his glove?  Or is it just the mask?

No idea, but it was quite a bizzare to make that pad save without the glove and the stick
 
Glad Gus didn't get hurt there.  Seems unnecessarily dangerous to let play go on there.  Watching Gus during that stretch was amusing though.  he still had his arm out as if he still had the glove on, and was reading the play well.  He's been really solid. 

He made a save in that stretch too.

All these little things should boost his confidence - hey I am capable to make a save without half of my equipment
 
This has to rank as one of the Leafs best games of the year.  They have dominated all night long, and, although they got a little lucky on that PK, you have to hand it to them to have taken only 1 penalty so far.
