Well he's partly to blame for not cutting the puck out maybe, but he was on Jokinen/Iginla when the goal was scored. Schenn was the man standing all alone in front of the net nowhere near an opposing forward.

Not sure Phaneuf is the main culprit though.

From what I saw he was standing all alone.  And while Phaneuf may not be directly to blame for the goal, he looked really slow that entire shift.  He's getting flat out beaten in one-on-ones far more than is acceptable.

Listening on the radio, are Phaneuf and Komisarek paired together? Yeah who would have thunk that wouldn't have worked out.
 
At this point isn't it better to just waive Komi and give another D-man a shot? Holzer, Aulie whoever?

I mean the guy sits for a huge amount of time, and isn't likely to step in and handle big minutes well, and surprise he has a meltdown and fans will jump all over him.

We're in the middle of a playoff race, and we're putting in the guy who flat out can't play. I don't get this team. Meritocracy my left foot....
