Game 7 - Leafs @ Habs - Saturday Oct 22nd 2011 - 19:00 EST - 5-4 Win

If Reimer is out with a concussion I would like to pound Gionta. The Leafs playoff hopes always sat squarely with him. Gus is not going to do it.

That's what I'm thinking...

I'd be happy with a single point out of this game. Perhaps unfairly I have no confidence in Gus, I sincerely hope he proves me wrong.

Price just slashed Kadri in the face when he was down. How is that not an ejection from the game?

It was a love tap, and he got a penalty for it. Dumb thing to do, but, not ejection worthy.

I'm not sure about that. Given the McSorley incident, it should be clear to every player in the game that intentional sticks to the head or face are just not acceptable and will be dealt with severely.

If hits where the head is the principle point of contact are suspendable then intentional sticks to the head should yield the same penalty. It's not as if Kadri moved at the last second, he was vulnerable and Price hit him in the head.

You might say it wasn't very hard, but neither was MacArthur's hit so seemingly that's not the issue.

we could bring back Healy :)

TSNBobMcKenzie: Reimer's absence from this game is related to the contact to his head by Gionta.

He kept going after the hit, so, I would imagine it's not terribly severe, but, you never know. If he's out for anything more than a couple games, the Leafs could be in big trouble . . . unless Gustavsson finally finds a way to step up his game with some consistency.

Crosby kept going after his hit too. But I think your right.

Well, if Reimer is out for more than this game, it's make-or-break time for Gus as a Leaf.  He's got to show he can bring more than, say, Mikael Tellqvist.

Gus is looking a little more comfortable.

They let pitchers warm up in baseball why not let goalies take a couple of shots from a team Mate?

He's already had better games than Telly, his ears might not be entirely tuned but then good goalies are freaks, hard to say. I haven't written him off.

But you don't want to waste the one or two saves he has in him......
