Stamkos purposefully brings his stick up into Phaneufs face...I would hope he gets the extra penalty because  the league sure isn't going to the have balls to suspend him for a game like they probably should.

Wow. A glimpse of what Gardiner could end up being for this organization. On another note, I wonder what Kadri is thinking right about now with Ashton playing with the big team and him still with the Marlies.

I don't know what's going on with Kadri.  He wasn't scoring last time he was up, but he was laying some hits and playing end to end.  I thought he was playing OK.

My thought is that they didn't want to mess with the Marlie chemistry too much, since they're right in the midst of the playoff drive, and Ashton being new was a perfect fit as emergency call up.

Either that, or they hate Kadri and want to make him cry.  One of those.

Why would it bother him?  He's been called up and played on the big club for longer periods of time than Ashton has so far.

Burke recently said Kadri still needs to become a better hockey player.

I think the Marlies playoff run has something to do with it too.

Eakins mentioned in a recent interview that he'd like to see Kadri be a bit more committed to his conditioning. I wouldn't read too much into that as the question was phrased as a pro / con of a few Marlies.

It's a tough read what management thinks. I think he might be given a harder time too because he's a bit cockier.

Who the hell is the #34 guy in goal?

The goaltending has been better since Carlyle, with a couple of exceptions of course.

Anything to do with the better defensive systems, perhaps?

For sure.  They go hand in hand.

Anyhow, if Reimers completes the shutout,  :)  I presume he'll get an accolade in the MotM voting, and if so, it will be first one he's gotten in ...  months I would guess.

He's my MotM tonight right now... Gardiner a close second.

No. It has to do with the fact the playoff race is over and the Leafs suddenly go on a run and ruin a top 5 pick. Just like always.

I was being a little facetious really. Just to kind of hint that, shock horror, maybe the coaching was an issue with the goals we were conceding and not just the goalies.
