Hi to all -
Joined up here after leafsconnected forum seems to have gone poof.  Anyone here a former member or know what happened to it?

As most people here can tell message boards/forums aren't exactly the #1 way for people on the internet to talk to each other like they were 10-20 years ago. So I'm not sure what happened to that site but the simplest explanation is probably unfortunately the correct one.

Appreciate the well wishes.  The leafsconnected.ca site was around for over 10 years and will be sadly missed.  It was a frank, hard hitting group at times so maybe the wrong feathers finally got ruffled.  I tried scoping it out on Reddit and the post got yanked - sad message there.

I couldn't imagine being part of Leafs Reddit or FB *shudder.

I don't actively participate in either but I see some parts of them through just casual internet usage. I think reddit gets a bad rep in general, it's really not that bad but I'd miss the more personal interactions that you probably don't get there because of it's size.  Every single comment I've read about the Leafs on some FB group or whatever though has absolutely made me dumber. Every single one.

I think the issue with Reddit is just that there's virtually no filter. It's everything. If you're looking for good stuff it's there or bad stuff it's there but there's really no way to just see the stuff you want.

Welcome aboard!

Forum boards are great for developing relationships over mutual interest (or mutual disdain :D), more so than larger pools like reddit/fb/discord where the signal is more difficult to separate from the noise, especially for Leafs-centric content. I hope you enjoy your stay and our erudite bickering.
