Habs @ Leafs - Mar. 17th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Nice Mitch pass to Kadri.  I don't think I have ever seen the Leafs so outplay Montreal in my life and that is saying a lot. They are dominating.

The goalie was already down and out.  If that?s not a goal in hockey then what the hell are we doing here?

Lindgren's been making acrobatic saves all night, that impeded his ability to make another one. I thought it was pretty cut and dry.

Shot attempts favoured the Leafs at 5v5 to the tune of 42-15 in the second period. There were 43 combined shot attempts in the first period at even strength.

I told someone at the Barkpark tonight that Leafs would win 6-0.  Don't know why but thought we would dominate and that Johnsson would score. My inner Jean Dixon is channeling.

I'd probably want that one back if it got scored on the Leafs.

And Kadri scores.  Karma for the cheating refs/NHL.
That's not karma, it's just the Leafs totally dominating the game.

Lindgren was going across for the save and Plenkanec klunked him in the head, it was also on his catching hand side, he probably could have caught it if not for Plekanec there.

Bizarre interpretation.  You?re suggesting that a goalie can?t take himself out of position. Because that?s exactly what happened here.  The leafs players had nothing to do with the goalie not being able to make a save.  Same as last week, when the pens goal should have counted.  The NHL flat out gets it wrong more than they get it right.

No, I'm suggesting that even if the goalie takes himself out of position you're still not allowed to elbow him in the head.

The thing about Kypreos' comments re: the GM pay in Carolina seems to sidestep the real issue of just how much control the GM there is going to have. It seems more likely that smart, talented GM candidates would be more put off by the idea of being a figurehead than a relatively low GM salary.

I saw the Plekanec thing as two fold. 1, the elbow to the head,...2, he got in the middle of his legs in the blue paint.

I would have lost my mind if Gallagher did that to McElhinney.

what is everyones take on Johnsson so far?

I'm sure the Dubas Brigade will say his game has been effective or what have you but it's hard to get overly excited about a guy billed as having the ability to pop a few when he's had a bunch of chances and been unable to bury any.
