Hurricanes @ Leafs - Dec. 19th, 2:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

I know the Leafs and other teams around the league love the 4F PP set-up, but Connor Carrick should be getting playing time there. Especially over Komarov, maybe even over Brown. Just play him in one of the forward positions. He can do it.

Maybe they can play him at centre!  ;D :o 8) :P

8 we rules to only 1 we suck!

Well, it's obvious now. 7-7:30 starts are way past our star youngster's bed times!  It should be 2:00 p.m. starts from now on!

Good game for the Leafs but Carolina played horribly.

They absolutely folded in the 3rd period, but the game probably would have been closer in the first two periods if Carolina didn't have a shooter-tutor in net.

The only thing I don't like about this game is the fact it was played at 2pm on Tuesday and I wasn't watching it! The game being at 2 was supposedly going to give a bunch of kids the opportunity to be there. I hope that came to fruition because what a game to be at.

Got home to watch the last two goals. I'm on board for more afternoon games if they can guarantee me 8 goals every time.

Nice to see Mitch with a breakout game.

Big win to break out of that mini-slump!

I think we should have more 2 p.m. games, especially around the holiday break. This should be something the Leafs do every year!

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm sure they offered schools in the downtown core some sort of promotional package (assuming you're correct with their intention).

I just don't know how feasible that it is considering the vast majority of tickets are already sold through STHs. It feels to me like the team is just hoping that those season ticket holders bring their kid with them to the game instead of a friend or something. I doubt that happens though. Which is too bad, because a school-day atmosphere like the Marlies get at the ACC would have been incredible.
In the season ticket package they encouraged bringing a kid to this game.
