Donald Trump's Twitter account has retweeted three inflammatory anti-Muslim videos from a British far-right group.
The first tweet from Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First, claims to show a Muslim migrant attacking a man on crutches.
This was followed by two more videos of people Ms Fransen claims to be Muslim.

The United States Senate is going to vote on a bill tonight that is currently being given handwritten, illegible amendments in the margins.

Understand, Republicans are so embarrassed by what this bill is they're not only not letting it be read and debated, they're barely letting it be written.

How is this legal? How could they vote on something that isn't properly finalized? As well, how is it legal to throw things into a bill that have nothing to do with the main ethos of the bill itself?

Unsupervised toddlers in a toy store would show more responsibility and restraint that the Republicans showed last night.  The shamelessness is beyond appalling, and it's sickening to see.

I wonder how much we'll see an economically driven brain drain to Canada among the young American generation whose lives are being set up for financial ruin.

Remember that this is the same party that was outraged at the lack of transparency within a bipartisan year long debate after several years of public discussion on Obamacare.

This racist, anti-United States group is pretty disgusting.  They are literally handing money to billionaires while also signing orders to kill citizens.
 
Within the last 14 months or so the Republicans have nominated for President a man caught on tape bragging about committing sexual assault and for Senate a guy credibly accused of molesting children.

Not to worry though, the light being shone on sexual misconduct has caused several high level Democrats to resign. Problem solved!

Admittedly, I'm biased and feel embassies should have moved to West Jerusalem decades ago (East Jerusalem is, obviously, a much more delicate matter). That being said, the current climate is clearly not the right time for this move. The Middle East is as big a powder keg as ever, and Trump just dropped a ton of sparks in and around it.
 
Yeah, I agree with the fact that this isn't going to help the peace process and that the general idea of Trump being involved in that process means it's going to be handled shabbily but I do think there's a degree of unfairness to the criticism here. The first being that having the Embassy in Tel Aviv was some sort of statement of neutrality. It wasn't. Imagine America deciding they were moving our embassy to Montreal and then trying to say they were "Neutral" on the idea of the legitimacy of Ottawa as our capital? Clearly by not having your embassy in the city where the country sits its parliament, holds their supreme court, etc is a statement of your views on its legitimacy. Putting embassies in Tel Aviv was a way for the rest of the world to ignore an unsettled issue while a largely non-existent peace process stalled over the last decade.

Secondly, rightly or wrongly, this is something Trump said he'd do during the campaign and I don't know that this materially changes anything. The idea put forth by some, that this hurts the United States' role in the peace process because it impinges on their neutrality rests on the quite frankly laughable notion that the people/nation states who are Pro-Palestinian(including the Palestinians themselves) have ever seen the US as an unbiased party here.

I get that you don't want to give extra cause to volatile actors in a volatile region but one of the mantras that has permeated our culture in the last 20 years is that the one thing we shouldn't do when faced with violent extremism is let threats of politically motivated violence alter our normal behaviour or else those threats carry the day. Truth is that normal behaviour is putting your embassy in the city that the host country says is its capital.

Accused a sitting female senator of offering sexual favors/begging him for campaign contributions, all because she had the temerity to call for his resignation over the sexual assault allegations against him.
