Idiocracy

This is an excerpt from a book that's due out soon by a guy who basically sat on a couch in the West wing and watched and listened to various meetings and happenings. It's quite long but pretty fascinating

The Bannon quotes from this book caused the kerfuffle with Trump (see above). This book, if true, is both hilarious and horrifying.

Here's the real scoop:
[Ivanka] treated her father with a degree of detachment, even irony, going so far as to make fun of his comb-over to others. She often described the mechanics behind [her dad's hair] to friends: an absolutely clean pate ? a contained island after scalp-reduction ?surgery ? surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray. The color, she would point out to comical effect, was from a product called Just for Men ? the longer it was left on, the darker it got. Impatience resulted in Trump?s orange-blond hair color.

[Trump] imposed a set of new rules: Nobody touch anything, especially not his toothbrush. (He had a longtime fear of being poisoned, one reason why he liked to eat at McDonald?s ? nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade.)

I see this is going to be full of obvious things being spelled out extra clearly.

For once, Steve Bannon actually sounds believable.  As sad & pathetic that comment may be.

Interestingly, the person getting the most blow back for this book is not Trump but Bannon. He has been forced to step down from his post at his not very legitimate news outlet.

Not super surprising. There's not a ton of really revelatory stuff about Trump in the book, but Bannon broke ranks - and, the powers-that-wanna-be can't have that.

Given that Fox News also won't be hiring Bannon...

At this point, regardless of how much truth there is in Trump's dementia or bottom buddy role with Putin, the Republicans have latched on to his sunken ship.  The 33-37% of core Republicans will never, ever, ever, ever not support a Republican.  They have to hold on to dear life at this point because Trump going down not only loses them the Senate and Congress but the Presidency.  They have too much damage to inflict over the next few months before Mueller comes out with more indictments.

That Trump is 239 lbs might be the most outrageous lie this administration has ever peddled.

Everything other than his height seems suspicious.

Yeah, that's a colossal bunch of nonsense that he weighs 239 lbs.

The doc (who for all accounts and purposes is a completely reputable doctor) also claims that Trump's "overall health is excellent" despite being 1 listed pound away from being obese, not having any kind of exercise regime, and only sleeping 4-5 hours a night. And it's no secret that he eats like garbage. Ok.

Trump is 6'3"? Didn't realize he was that tall.

Yeah if he's 239 than I'm 175.

I don't know if he's actually 6'3", but he is legitimately tall, and 6'3" feels like a believable height for him. But, that height, with his "physique" . . . there's no way he's 239.

Even 6'3 doesn't seem legit.
