Is this the turning point???

The best turning point I'd like to see would be Grabovski come out of no-where and single-handedly killing the Habs in the first round.  Right now, he's like a fouled spark plug.  If he got hot, this could be such a great playoffs.

Its almost time to dust off the leaf flags for my car. As soon as we clinch, All the blue and white comes out.

Ah, that reminds me, I've got mine 'gathering dust' somewhere in my basement.  Time to find it and place it on my car window too.  That's the spirit!!!  GO LEAFS GO!!!  :) :) :)

Wow1 them flags look good on my suv. I have a home and an away. I am also wearing one of my leaf jerseys. I am pumped for the game tonight , and the playoffs.

I have my Leafs car flags up in my condo, I'd put the on my vehicle but I fear Jets fans would rip them off and in the process damage my vehicle and or windows on the vehicle.

well after a win like that we should see more Leaf fans jumping on board. I can't wait until it starts to go wild. I'm thinking as soon as we clinch.

Well are there still non believers that we have hit a turning point, because I think its now evident were a top ten player. we seem to be getting better every game.

Reimer seems to be getting better. The rest of the team looked horrible last night.

I don't think we looked horrible, as much as the Devils looked good. After I herd Lou went down and had a meeting with them, I knew we were in for a game.
I do agree Reimer stole this game, and we looked a step behind, but kudos to Jersey, they played very hard.

Teams have bad games from time to time no question about it.  Leafs were flat, probably a combination of a huge emotional win over the Habs on Saturday plus a not so urgent push anymore since the playoff spot is almost locked up.  When teams have bad games, it's always nice to be able to have a goalie that can steal you one.  That's what happened last night.  How many times in past seasons have we moaned and groaned about the Leafs outchancing and outshooting an opponent only to be "stoned" by a goalie?  It's nice to have the tables turned for once.

As skeptical as I was coming into this season, this no doubt has been a turning point.  In fact, I've gone from thinking that any playoff games would be a step in the right direction, to now thinking that there aren't many teams in the East that I don't think the Leafs could take out in the playoffs.

I'd still want to avoid Boston at all costs, but beyond that, I'd like the Leafs chances against anyone else.  Pittsburgh is obviously the other choice, but the Leafs have shown they can certainly hang in there with them.  I'd say the Rangers too, but for whatever reason Lundqvist sputters against the Leafs.  After that -- Montreal, Washington, Ottawa, NYI, Winnipeg -- I can see the Leafs handling each quite easily.

This season has certainly been quite confidence inspiring.  Bodes well going forward.

I think more than anything this is a team-attitude turning point.  While the fan-base was edgy and worried most of the season waiting for the team to "go off a cliff" like last season, these players kept their confidence all year long.  Even through that 5 game losing streak there was no sense of panic, and they got right back to winning and have put together a great stretch run.  It's the attitude of a winning team, they believe they should be in most games, and they're playing with a ton of confidence.  It bodes well for the future, I like the makeup of this team, I'd like to see where they are in a few seasons.

Don't feel quite comfortable of a Boston-Toronto series.  Not because the Leafs can't beat the Bruins -- they can -- but because it'll be a tough, grind it out series.  If the Leafs were to win the series, it could be tiring going on to the next round.

The Leafs have the speed to play a skating game with any team, as they've proven this season, and avoiding a tough in-your-face team such as Boston that combines many ingredients, may just take the wind out of the Leafs sails, so to speak.

I like the Leafs chances against the Habs, Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Sens.  Then again, who knows, any one of these series could turn out to be tough too.  Just not so much as if it were Boston.

@nutman: I know it's very late but is Team Nutman still accepting members for this year? If so, I'd like to re-join.

You must do this.

will this be yet another turning point for the Leafs. Beating the Bruins would be a big step up that hill to becoming an upper tear team.

If we win just 2 games, I will be pretty ecstactic. I would consider that a turning point.
