Jays acquire Troy Tulowitzki

And a lot (if not most) fans agree with you. These are probably the same fans who love Kawasaki and who think John Macdonald should have his number honoured. Personally I like the fact that Bautista has fire and wants to win and isn't satisfied with sitting back and being on a perennial .500 team; something, apparently, that management, media and most fans seem content with.

I can assure you I do not love Kawasaki and do not think MacDonald's number should be retired. You may see it as "fire" I see it as miscalculated, unproductive and being a bad teammate.

Didn't know where to put this, but since it all starts with Tulo...

[The Jays got]  a lot of love from the broadcast crew this past weekend. During the top of the 7th inning, all three members of the booth, including the aforementioned Shulman and former players Curt Schilling and John Kruk, spent a few minutes gushing about the lone team from Canada. Amid all the praise, Kruk dropped an interesting bit of analysis:

?I just think the thing with Tulo leading off, if you?re Josh Donaldson, JB, EE, you can?t just say ?Ok, first hitter, I?m just going to throw my fastball away, get ahead, not throw all my pitches?you have to show every pitch when Tulowitzki comes up to start the inning, to start the game. If you make a mistake, you can?t just throw fastball, fastball, fastball or it?s going to be 1-0.?
Then Schilling chimed in.

?That?s absolutely correct. When you have a lineup like that, you have to pitch with all your stuff from hitter one and then you don?t get the chance to settle in.?

The rest of the article breaks down what strategies pitchers have been exercising against the top of our order now that Tulowitzki leads off for us to see if the remarks above hold true.
