Yeah, he's a bit of a unicorn. Mark Stone, maybe? I guess ultimately, you have to decide between hyman or an established starting goalie.
That's a scary one considering he's at $9.5 on a long deal. I think Stone has more of a scoring touch but I guess Hyman is making a case for himself.

We're comparing Hyman to Stone. Wow.
Yeah delusional. He's good but he's not close to Stone.

I actually think if the Jets don't have Hellebuyck they're not even a playoff team.

Certainly not a clear cut one. They?d be battling it out with Calgary for the 4th spot. Hellebuyck has just been ridiculous. Just putting on a clinic.

They're actually not good. They get outshot and outchanced constantly. When Hellebyuck isn't superman you get what happened last Saturday 7-1

When a goalie is seeing everything this well they have to give up on trying to beat him clean. Get some traffic, get the puck on net and bang in a rebound.

They may lose again but in the long scheme you have to like the way the forwards are playing.

If they get another PP it's insanity not to put Nylander out there instead of Thornton.  They have no credible outside shot threat if Matthews is just going to play for tips & rebounds.

They probably won a few games early on they didn?t deserve to. I guess this is the luck and balancing out of that.

If we had a goalie putting in this kind of performance he?d ruin it in the third by letting a little soft flutter puck over the glove or something.

Agreed. I'm totally soured on Thornton as a leaf due to the way Keefe uses him.

How are we getting goalied again?
If they stopped hitting him they might score.

Nah, you're really not giving Hellebuyck enough credit here.
Not saying he hasn't been outstanding but if the Leafs could put a few upstairs, they'd have scored.
What game have you been watching? I get that he's good down low but they didn't forget how to shoot high.

Rielly has been just fine this game but if we only had a d-man who can get a shot through it would be a very nice asset, even if he were more or less only a PP specialist.  Just sayin'.

Willy's had 3 great chances and didn't get them up on any.

Time for Dermott to sit.

As a team game overall it's not even close.

One of them he hit the crossbar. I seriously don't know what you're watching.

One thing's for sure - the Jets D is pretty terrible. They've got some size, but handle the puck like it's a hand grenade. It's like having a martin marincin on every pairing.
