FACT:  No smoke machines were used during this photo shoot - air just spontaneously steams up whenever Joffrey Lupul gets naked.

Didn't Chara pose demi-nude for one of these features a few years ago?  IIRC it was like viewing a mastodon.

On the flip side, the other hockey players who've posed for this that I recall were a bunch of guys from the Oilers and the season following their nude photo shoot...they were still on the freakin' Oilers.
