The Calgary one is the only one where he was actually given an embellishment penalty, it's been talked about enough. His stick went up in the air, if that's embellishment sure, whatever. I don't get the Ottawa one though. He could have just simply lost balance, the game is played on skates and ice you know. You basically need to be reading his mind to know if that was a dive or not, and if the league had that power then they should probably be putting it to better use.
That Calgary one is pretty blatant. I can understand the NHL wanting to cut that out. I would probably sit my kid down and talk to her if she did that on the ice.
In the case of the Ottawa one, he pulls the stick into his body and then does a triple salchow with a double toe loop to sell it. Come on man. The game is played on ice with skates but that was ridiculous. He hooked himself using another players stick.
It's amusing to me that you are grossly embellishing the events of the Ottawa scenario to justify that he is embellishing.
