Kadri "made available" -according to 2 teams

Who knows if Seguin would have had the same season in Boston though.  The whole issue with him was apparently the off-ice behavior, maybe he ran with a bad crowd in Boston, got too comfortable, didn't work hard enough etc. etc.  The trade might have woken him up and he's more serious about hockey now.  Just speculation on my part.

Even if we ignore the whole off-ice angle, Seguin's playing his natural position on Dallas' top line. He would have never got that opportunity in Boston with Krejci and Bergeron down the middle there.

And despite having a somewhat down year with Eriksson, the pair have put up 23G 32A to Seguin's 23G 28A.  For Boston I think they are happy with having better depth on the wings while Dallas is happy to have a #1 Center.

Pretty sure if the Leafs had a crystal ball they wouldn't of traded Rask. That's just a guess though.

They had one back then, but JFJ's crystal ball was made of tin foil and white glue.

And JfJ spent too much time sniffing the crystal ball.

Boston is still a strong team but if they had a crystal ball they may not have traded Seguin. I believe they are getting more out of Reilly Smith than Eriksson.

Fear of the bad crowd in suburbia never surprises me.

If only twitter/facebook/instragram were available in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Every player would have had off ice issues.
