From what I can tell, playing Xbox is half the job, so I figure I'm pretty much there already.

It's true.

Also, blogging about the Leafs is half the job of being the GM too, so I've heard.

Just curious....Would anyone trade Kessel for Tavares straight up?

Tavares? Heck, I'd move him for Jamie Benn, let alone Tavares. Sell high!
You could probably get the equivalent of two Benn's and possibly even a pick from a contender for Kessel. Are you sure you don't mean sell absolutely piss poor low?

Or am I missing the sarcasm?

Over his last 17 games, Kessel is scoring at an 82 game pace of 150 points.  Over the past 9, it's a 155 point pace.

Just to give an idea of just how hot he is right now.  And 17 games isn't an insignificant number of games either, so that's impressive.

We're also going to need a calculation as to how soon Crosby needs to get a concussion to ensure an Art Ross for Kessel.

After last night, he also has the most points in the league over the last 3 seasons.

But Boston got Seguin, Hamilton and some other guy!

Wow. I hadn't realized that.

Just breathtaking seeing him score a goal like last night's. The way he can accelerate and make NHL quality skaters look like novices is incredible.

That's grossly underrating Benn.

It is pretty likely that's the first time that has happened to a Leaf player since League expansion, eh?

Also, it is kind of sad the rest of the team and/or coaching sucks so bad.  We sure are wasting a great talent.

This is also probably the latest in to a season that we've had a guy sitting at #2 in league scoring for quite a while.  (How did Gilmour do that one year?)

That was the year Mario came back from cancer treatment and won the scoring race. Doug finished tied for 7th with Almo, who was with Buffalo at the time. Turgeon, Oates, Stevie Y, Lafontaine and Selanne finished ahead of him and Almo.

No this isn`t taking him seriously.  Yes this is having a good chuckle.

"More than a few commentators and analysts suggested [Kessel] wasn?t the player a team could build around." - Damien Cox, March 14, 2014

"Burke can?t afford to insist that Kessel is a foundation player when he obviously is not, at least not for these Leafs" - Damien Cox, March 14, 2012

You could find more if you dig, but no use piling on.
