Komarov - Leafs Most Interesting Man

I love his game and his well earned 3 goals..LOL....great pest...I even forgive him his defensive zone weakness's as the rest of his game is ...well...game.

Is it me or are more guys in the NHL turning there backs to the upcoming hit, Komarov  is a good solid hitter, but it seems players are risking themselves to get pps more then ever, and a guy like Komarov is getting calls on him that he should not be.

Komarov may jump ship....

He's a good pest and all that, but I wouldn't get into a bidding war over him.

My thinking as well. If he provided more offence, I'd be more gung-ho about really battling to keep him around, but, there's really no sense in getting into a serious bidding war for a 4th line checking/energy/pest type.

It might be difficult to retain him compared to the KHL without going over budget for a fourth liner.

Love his hitting though. I guess this means more Orr and McLaren?

If Komarov doesn't re-sign, both Orr and McLaren are  re-signed and no new bottom 6 types are added through free agency, trades or from the system.

Anything under two per seems amazing value, he's a fantastic bottom six player who has shown some finish in his past.

I think I read somewhere pre-lockout that the average salary for a third liner with the cap rising year on year was 3 to 3.5 million.

Although the cap is coming down this year, it's pretty certain that it will increase fairly quickly again.
