I was kind of surprised to see he re-signed with Anaheim for one year at $75,000.  He didn't play one game for them after Toronto traded him to them at last season's trade deadline.  I would have thought he'd try to sign with a team with a weaker blueline in attempt to make the top six.

That puzzles me too!  You'd think his agent would want him to sign somewhere he'd make more money and get an opportunity to play in the NHL.  ???

I'm pretty sure his agent was beyond thrilled to even get a one-way contract offer.

Just wanted to state the obvious, that his contract is actually $750K and not $75K.

I think starting contracts are mininum around 500K

$575k is the minimum salary starting this season. Was $550k for the last two.
