Leafs 2013/2014 Schedule in 10 game chunks

Strange upcoming schedule. No games between Saturday and the following Friday.

What the heck am I supposed to watch during the week? Other teams???  :o

Off for 5 days and then a back-to-back.  Like, couldn't have put that Friday game on one of those other nights?

Second chunk starting out well.  However given the habit of Leafs losing to teams who begin with the letter "C", pencil in a Calgary loss tonight....makes it real easy to remember all the losses so far though.  Colorado, Carolina, Chicago and Columbus.

Are Canucks covered by the C word curse? Or does Vancouver negate it?

City names, sorry I listed teams by their team name.  Leafs lose to Calgary but beat Vancouver.

Good news though, after losing to Calgary, Leafs win the next 6 straight in this chunk.

Updated, realized I had an error for next Saturday, game is IN BOSTON, not at home. Friday game at home, strange.

Edit: damn I had multiple errors.  After the Friday home game they're on the road again for 3.

Leafs really blew chunks on Saturday.

Break until Friday, *should* beat NJ, but then on Saturday tough road game in Boston.

The whole schedule for November is strange, indeed. Let's hope they salvage some decent outings from these back-to-back games (especially with the recent injuries).

We only need 2 wins in 5 games to make it to .500. And we play Buffalo twice so there ya go. I also don't think this team will lose 4 in a row so there should be one more win before we play the Sabres.

If I am not mistaken Devils are without Schneider and Elias, hopefully the leafs can take this one.

Schneider just came back this weekend, but I think Elias is still out...

Schneider returned from injury last night, but even if he was still hurt they have a half decent back-up you may have heard of ;). But they still have some injury problems. Elias like you said is out, so is Zajac. Both seem day-to-day at this point so there's a chance they play. They're also missing Clowe, Salvador, and Volchenkov right now. Their season in general isn't off to a very good start either so it's definitely a very winnable game.

Define half-decent...because his .888 SV% doesn't strike me as half-decent.

His Sv% from the 10/11 season until now has only been .904, so, I guess that's about halfway to decent. 8)

It's nice to finally be able to look down our noses at a future HOF goalie ;).

But yeah, I didn't even look at Brodeur's stats before I wrote that. I still think he's better than a .888 SV% would suggest.

I'm literally better than Brodeur right now at goaltending.

4 wins so far with 3 left to play.  Buffalo is so bad that I expect nothing short of a sweep in those 2 games, so that's 6 wins out of 10 and a good set.  Hopefully it comes to pass.

Preview of the 3rd set of 10.

Not a fantastic set of games from 11-20 but given all the injuries it could have been worse.

I dunno, I mean 2-1 is good, but those shots against....uhhhhhhhhhh

Tough week ahead, games Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday --- 200 shots against?

The schedule isn't really so bad, except for the two-in-a-row road games against the Sabres & the next night against the Habs (Nov.29-30).

With the way things are right now, I'd expect a pretty hefty workload for our goaltenders in stopping plenty of rubber.  If the Leafs are smart, they could play a skating game with most of these teams and not hang back so much.
Translation...keep the SOG under thirty-five or less/game.

Give the goalies a nice break, please!
