Leafs @ Blackhawks - Jan. 24th, 8:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

I know it's not, but the goalie having a reasonable shot at stopping the puck if the interference didn't occur should be a factor in whether a goal gets waived off. Glass had no shot at that one, regardless of JvR running into him.

That?s what I thought too.  The puck was going past him as JVR made contact and it wasn?t really a play where the puck was anywhere near Glass.  Still a dumb move by JVR he had absolutely no reason to run into Glass.

Oh, look, Seabrook yelling at the ref because he stopped playing before the whistle blew leads to an early whistle on the next icing play. Lovely.

Yup. It was the right call, based on the rules as they are. The rules are just dumb.

jonassiegel: Babcock quickly abandoned defence pairings. Borgman finished with Carrick and Dermott landed with Polak.

(Shot attempts were 8-2 for Chicago when Polak was on the ice.)

Safe player. Good pro. Plays the right way.

To be fair that was over 5 minutes of ice time.  50% of the shots in 1/4 of the icetime

Good defense by Polak on Duclair there.  Let Duclair go in so Andersen doesn?t have to face a screen of Polak.
