Matthews and Tavares are good but the rest of the team is gross.

I think Tavares already regrets coming here.

This is going to be my favourite post of the season.

Leafs don't have another B2B situation until November 9/10. There's 12 games until then. It'll be interesting to see if Babs gives Sparks another chance before that.

It's hard not to fault him and most of those goals. Right move by the Leafs, to keep him imo, but it's a high risk high reward scenario. .806 is not a great reward. But we can still say just one game at least.

For a game where defence was pretty much optional, Marincin had a quietly solid performance.

I also thought Marincin had a solid game (and I'm not sure I've ever given him praise before).

Sparks was terrible though.  Zero rebound control, does not fight to see pucks thru traffic and for the most part plays way too deep and low.

Maybe against a crap team or if Freddie struggles is the only way he gets in.

I love goals. I'm cool with 5+ goals per game.

I also love Kapanen. I hope he gets more offensive opportunities, but his penalty kill work is outstanding.

I enjoyed Matthew's celebration after our 6th goal.

I also enjoyed Kane's mocking of his celebration after their 6th goal 30 seconds later.

Anyone who says players should not celebrate goals with passion is silly.

I'm trying real hard to like Sparks but geez throw me a bone there buddy.

Maybe he's trying too hard or perhaps he simply needs to play more.  Being a backup is both good for the team (to minimize these blowouts) and bad for Sparks (not playing enough he doesn't get the required experience).

I would like to see Sparks play more and have someone coach him on his style (weaknesses & plusses).  He's got potential but consistency and a lack of playing time do not work in his favour.

Sparks appeared to be surprised when pucks where thrown his way. He didn't play as poorly as many here are saying, but he reminded me a lot of Gustavsson.

They both deserve to be punched in the face repeatedly. There's no joy in hockey!

I didn't.  It's taunting, not celebrating.

I thought it was great. Matthews has a personality god forbid. And Kane did exactly what was warranted, he mocked him. I mean, at least Kane responded in the right way by scoring a goal instead of being a moron like Marchand.
