Leafs @ Blues - Feb. 19th, 8:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

No powerplays and ref takes out Marner behind the net leading to the winner. Great
Mitch gave it away before hitting the ref. Don't know if he would have caught up. Great shot to end it.

In the end, very fortunate to get a point out of this game. Did not "start on time" and very easily could have been blown out if not for Andersen.

I'm sorry, but how the hell do the Leafs get no PPs that whole game?  It's just garbage.  They should have started out OT on the PP on the noncall on Zaitsev.
Agreed. Leafs don't dive enough I guess.

I know Mitch is fast but I doubt he gets back fast enough to really make a difference in that play even if he doesn't go down.

I mean, refs still suck though.

I don't recall another season with so many Leafs games and 0 PPs. I can remember a few already this season. It's ridiculous

It's sad really. That's why the PP struggled.. They don't get to do it very often!

It's not like the Leafs don't possess the puck alot and generate chances either, this is the 4th game this season without a PP.  Fourth. The record is 5. You would think Shanahan or someone high up would call up Bettman off the record and ask what the fuck is going on with the refs while calling Leafs games

Same here...I wonder if they track this and what the record is. I'm sure Leafs are close

Play the top two lines 45 minutes of the game.

I liked Lindholm a lot to start the season, but talk about flatlining.  And Gauthier is a waste of mass + volume.  They need to restructure that thing, and let Marleau be a part of it.

I don?t view the ref interfering with Marner so much about him getting back in the play but in forcing him to get rid of the puck in the first place.  Maybe Marner throws it out front like that anyway but the ref closed out on him taking away his ability to circle around the boards

It?s amazing how much better our 4th line would be if they recalled Moore and played Moore/Ennis.  Moore seemed like a spark plug.  I don?t think he produces anywhere near the pace he did when he had his first opportunity but he?s a guy who works hard.  The 4th is just a bad line at this point.  They have the odd shift where they cycle the puck but are incapable of scoring.  You just can?t have a line that provides absolutely no offence in 2019.

Marleau is killing the Matthews line. Lindholm should be at centre ob the 4th line and Goat should be in the AHL.

I don't know, I think he was looking pass the whole time. Not even sure he knew the ref was there.

Matthews was flying I would like to see him start in OT.

Marleau can?t keep up with his line mates. When he gets the puck it?s promptly heading in the opposite direction. He looses most battles.

Nylander played 15 minutes again tonight despite being arguably our best forward.  Matthews played 16:30

This in a game where Kadri missed 2/3 of the game.  Babcock really needs to fix his bad lineups

I guess it's almost useless to complain about Babcock, and no doubt he's done a lot of good things with the team, but his penchant for sticking obstinately to certain lineup choices really does drag the club down a bit.  Maybe he needs to be down a couple of games in the 1st round to see the light.

I'm sorry but Marner needs to be smarter than that. He just blindly throws it into the middle while Tavares is clearly covered. You can't gift the opposition 3 on 3s like that.
