I don?t understand why Leivo is on the PP and Kapanen isn?t.

Leivo is a Nylander placeholder on that unit.

Kapanen is getting what Rielly got his first season under Babcock: skill building deployment. He?s being molded into a next-level Hyman so PK only.

I dislike that Babcock wants Kapanen to be like Hyman, because Hyman isn?t very good.

Leaving him off the PP still makes no sense at all.

Coaches cannot and do not transplant skill levels to other players; I assume you?re just being facetious. Babcock wants Kapanen to play with Hyman?s attitude: fearless and relentless forecheck, consistent attention to defensive detail, heavy presence on the puck.

Also Hyman is very good at his job. By the end of the night you?ll have seen him eat half a dozen crushing hits from Chara to free up a puck for Marner or Tavares.

Agreed.  Placeholder or not, it?s a bad coaching decision.

All this early pressure and no goal to show for it. I hope its not going to be one of THOSE games

Bergeron has a very nice touch there. We wanted to stop that when Pastrnak was in the corner off the draw.

Sparks needed to make that save though.  20 shots on goals, nothing goes in and bruins score on a marginal one.  I hate the bruins. Hate them.

One guy in particular.  I shall not sully my lips by naming him.  (But he and his line are rather good.)

Strong road start. Tough result on a minor breakdown to one of the best lines in the game. Just gotta keep grinding it out.

I am so sick of that stretch pass, and I am so sick of them flipping the puck out of the zone. Make some plays or find players who can.

Weak goal on Sparks. He needs to have that.

Good first period.

I?d like to see Marchment get a look on the fourth line. He can really skate, score from the dirty areas and has an element the Leafs are completely missing.

I?m all for skating teams to death, but it helps to have more strings to your bow.
