For me it just feels like every time you shorten the season.
2-2 would make it a best of three...that just increases the potential to get "goalied".  I think he got the practice day off on Sunday precisely to have him ready to go for Game 4.

Yup. Going into game 5 up 3-1 is a much more comfortable situation. I'd be okay with putting a sweep on the line, but, not the difference between a two game lead and a best of 3.

This is where I'm at, especially given that it's not like Freddie filled us with a ton of confidence in his last few NHL and AHL starts.

Campbell is a tough call. If there's any risk of aggravating a lingering injury by playing him tonight, you gotta sit him out and hope Andersen has a good game. Think the risk of this becoming a 2-2 series is less than the risk of losing Campbell for all or part of the playoffs.

What do people think of Galchenyuk? I liked what he provided during the regular season but he's been pretty ineffective so far in the playoffs. Does he have more to offer? I thought he'd be a good guy to try to re-sign after the season but not so sure now. Then again, on a super cheap deal maybe worth it for depth.

Based on his performance so far, I can't see anyone (maybe a team that needs to use up cap dollars) signing him to anything other than another cheap "show me" contract.

Is the only reason we're not talking about the PP because the habs' has been worse?

What is there to say? It's obviously regressed after showing brief signs of life. Trouble with zone entries, lack of movement/too much perimeter play, same old same old.

I do not understand Keefe's obsession with Thornton on PP1. Nylander ought to be out there. Stack the PP, move things around, stop trying to have 2 balanced units.

I would personally love to see Robertson in for Galchenyuk on a line with Willy and on PP1 instead of Thornton. Play Campbell if he says he's ready and able.

Yes, Chris was asking earlier about Galchenyuk.  I haven't been too impressed so far, Robertson might be a good sub.  But I don't think it'll happen.

No doubt Willy should be on the first PP1 unit.  I know about balance but why not keep them out there for another 15-25 seconds on the shift?  Robertson could sub in for Thornton.

Robertson got injured...again...late in the season and didn't play the last few Marlies games. Not sure if he's even available but I don't think he's really ready for the NHL. In an emergency, sure. But to replace Galchenyuk, I don't know.

I'm starting to worry that he may be one of those guys who is perpetually injured. Small guy who plays a somewhat reckless style, not a great combination.

I'm not too worried about it yet, however, I wouldn't mind he picked up the same program that Sandin has been using, as we used to say the same thing about him, but all of a sudden he looks a lot beefier, and has definitely asserted himself a lot more physically in his NHL stints this year.

Raise your hand if you remember the start of Micheal Nylander in his career, and can now correlate that to the start of William Nylander in his career and because of this you just feel old.

I think you have to go with Freddie in a back to back situation.  If you don't, what is that saying to him...he worked hard to get in shape and here is where you would play him.

If it was regular season yes, but this is the playoffs. Every game is important. The hot goalie plays unless he can't.

I missed this yesterday and I am having a good laugh today

I agree with the top part. Montreal is in trouble if they have to rely on an 18 year old to jump start their offence. Sportsnet certainly likes the storyline though.

Thuggish seems a bit much considering Montreal players said it was about going to war. Jack Todd continues to know nothing.
