Second game of a back to back in Montreal on a Saturday night against a rested Habs team and Hutchinson in goal. What could go wrong?

The snark starts early with this game.

HockeyViz tracking of individual fatigue effects across the league last year on shot quantity and quality:
rest-1819.png

Offensive impact (+ is good) on top and defensive impact  (- is good) on the bottom as usual.
These terms are additive, so a given player might have played last night and also three days ago, so the impact of fatigue on that player can be obtained by adding both of those maps. Predictably, the effects of fatigue are negative, and the strongest effect is from having played the previous night, but having played two days ago is also non-trivial. The "played four days ago" terms seem very unimportant and in the future I might well delete them.

I?m so far out of the loop I just realized yesterday that Spezza was now a Leaf.

Game was on the radio as I drove to work and I kept hearing Spezzas name assuming he was on the other team. Spezza takes a shot and and a strange goalie name makes the save.  I?m thinking who is that we have in net? Then a minute later I hear Freddy make a save and my brain went ?Whaaaaaaat???

Like that play to Marner.  They need to mix in a few stretch passes.

He looks gooder overall. Just needed some Marleau time to settle things I guess.

He took Mitchy out for ice-cream after having a sit-down with Auston.
