Game Notes

TOR
?Hutchinson (3-1-0, 1.77 GAA, .943 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?There wasn't any update on Campbell after last nights game, so who plays net in this one is up in the air. If Campbell is still out Hutchinson will very likely start
?Keefe also didn't seem to rule out other changes to the line-up. With this being the teams 3rd game in 4 days and another game coming up on Saturday with a smaller turnaround time it wouldn't be surprising to see a body or two get rested

VAN
?Demko (5-9-1, 3.06 GAA, .907 Sv%) will likely start for the Canucks
?He has just 2 wins to show for it but Demko has been solid over the last couple weeks with a .927 Sv% in his last 6 starts
?Vancouver has just 1 win in their last 6 games, and are 3-10-2 in their last 15 games (a stretch that includes 3 straight losses to the Leafs)

Injuries

?Jack Campbell - Lower Body - Questionable Thursday
?Wayne Simmonds - Hand - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Justin Bailey - Upper Body - Injured Reserve
?Tyler Motte - Undisclosed - Injured Reserve
?Micheal Ferland - Concussion - Out indefinitely

The nice thing is Rielly/Holl lead the team in ice time at 21:31.  Every forward was under 19 minutes (Marner led with 18:50).  The Leafs were rolling lines in this three game series against Edmonton so they should still be somewhat fresh despite playing 3 games in 4 nights.

I think I?ll get a ?TJ? tattoo this week. This guys has been a massive difference maker to the Leafs!!

Just pointing out the Leafs are playing on a 128 point pace season right now.

The Leafs have completely rolled through multiple supposed "trap games" lately, so I'm not going to call this one a trap game.

I'd still be cautious, because it's 3 games in 4 nights, and a Vancouver team who will likely be looking for some sort of vengeance. Leafs need to come out hard and put that to rest quickly.

129 point pace, it was 128 before their win last night.

For all intents and purposes we've already locked up a playoff spot.

Eh, they're due for a loss, but I'd rather take a 3-2 loss than a repeat of that sens game meltdown a couple of weeks ago.

If Andersen got the shutout last night I would start Woll just to try for 4 in 4.  ;D

Anyway, Lines 3 & 4 are on a roll. Just keep pilling up the Ws. Go Leafs Go!!!

16 point lead on the 5th place Flames with just over 30 games left? Yeah, the Leafs can basically go .500 the rest of the way and still cruise into a playoff spot.

I obviously don't want the team to take their foot off the pedal or anything, but this is something they need to be thinking about when it comes to game management. I love the guy, but if Jack Campbell plays through an injury for a 3rd time this season I'm going to flip.

Oh, for sure. I guess the name still applies to denote a game that should be won but could be lost for being taken too lightly. I'm just so used to the Leafs literally getting trapped by trap games in the past and it's not whatsoever been an issue this year.

Me looking at Jake Virtanen's stats, and then looking at Nylander, Ehlers, Pastrnak, and even Kapanen's.

This would be... weird. Like I said Demko has a .927 Sv% in his last 6 starts. Holtby's last 6 starts? .882 Sv%.

Demko's also coming off a shutout in his last game, but this would be the second straight game Holtby starts for Vancouver (first one was because they were on a B2B).

edit: or nevermind. Get your facts straight media people

Making outstanding calls like this is why they're paying Green the big bucks and not you.

edit: I missed your edit.

Man Boyd needs a rest for sure.  Just wanted to say that its good to see Holl bounce back after what appeared to be a few wobbly outings.

I am assuming it's Hutch, let's not play Campbell hurt again, Anderson played last night, and what is a Woll?

Campbell wasn't hurt when he played against the Oilers. He was cleared to play and had a bunch of practices.
