Leafs chances for making the playoffs this year...

How many four-point games do these teams have?  What if division rivals go into overtime?  Teams can hope for a hot streak, but if their competition has the SAME hot streak, they've accomplished nothing.

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at?

If teams ahead of the Leafs keep winning, the Leafs will not catch up to those teams, even if the Leafs keep on winning as well.  But as long as the Leafs keep on winning, then those teams that are trying to catch the Leafs will not be able to do so, so yes the Leafs did accomplish something going on a winning streak by at least maintaining their playoff position.

There was also one point in December or January when the Leafs were out of the playoff picture, even if it was for a few days or so, so yes this winning streak put the Leafs back in the playoff picture so it did accomplish something.

The only team which IMO is uncatchable is BOS, we still play Montreal and Tampa twice more. And to be honest, Tampa is falling right now.
