She asked if it was our team. I said nah, McCabe left the team years ago.
Could be I hear the boys from Overdrive mentioning Stupid Face when talking about McCabe.Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate said:barney_rebel said:I said to wife ...ha scored on their own net.

You remember the headline in the Star (I think) the next day? Was it something about Stupid Face?

Saw an awful lot of it in the game last night. There was also a lot of reaching for pucks. Every team is allowed bad games, but that's two in a row where the free wheeling nature of the team could of potentially hurt them. Do that against Boston or Washington and you're not coming back from it.

It?s not great, but they were also the games before and after the Christmas break - games that tend to be sloppy. And, one of them was an afternoon game, and those are often adventures. You?re right in that it can?t happen against better teams, I just wouldn?t be too worried about these particular games being poorly played.

I'm generally not too worried about individual games being poorly played. It happens. And you're right, they did sandwich the Christmas break.
What does worry me is that despite absolutely dominating for a good chunks of the game last night, complete defensive breakdowns evened the game out. That's not a good trend.
Chris said:PP is scoring goals but man, I hate the drop-pass-on-every-rush style. Maybe they'll get better at it with time, but I don't remember them having much trouble gaining the zone using the old style. Seems like a lot of guys are standing still in the neutral zone once that last guy gets the puck.
