Reimer faces another 2 on 1 but it's OK because he doesn't bail the team out every time.

2 on 1 might be being generous to Gleason.

Jeffler: The way Gleason played this, it was basically a 2-on-0 http://t.co/EywN26suqi

Doesn't take passer or shooter, Reimer has to prepare for both.

Wasn't he trying to cut off the pass?

I feel like this image does a good job of summarizing how Reimer must feel in the Leafs' net these days.

You've either got to take away the passing lane if you want to force a shot, or rush the shooter to try and force a pass.  Gleason didn't really do either, just stayed in the middle and laid his stick down.  Most NHLers can navigate a pass past that.

And this isn't me blaming him for the goal either.

Meh.  He was hung out to dry as much as Reimer IMO.  Scrambled back and did what he could.

He was clearly in between deciding on who to take before it was too late. When the two skaters are that far apart, you either take away the pass by taking the receiver or force the pass by pressuring the puck carrier. He didn't make a choice, and, well, we all know what happened.

Like I said, he was taken by surprise by Bolland's bad change and Rielly was caught up-ice.  Order of blame:

1.  Bolland
2.  Reimer
3t. Gleason & Rielly

:) :P

Okay, that one wasn't great on Reimer, but, still, defence! The Devils controlled the puck in the zone way too easily.
