He would have been out for sure. Minor tweak hopefully.CarltonTheBear said:Hopefully Campbell is ok. Hard to think he wouldn't have left the game if that happened in the 2nd period or something.
If Andersen is getting the next few starts I'd try to get Hutchinson dressed as back-up if he needs the time off.

Yeh I want to see that one again but it didn?t look like Nylander just threw his stick away in the middle of a scoring chance
Here's a perfect chance for the league to nail him for the dbl knee to the back. That's ridiculous. Sad thing is if Bogo retaliates he'd probably be the only one to get a penalty.herman said:https://twitter.com/tictactomar/status/1353485120477556736

Let's pretend there is no such thing as injuries and let's go for 12F 6D and 2G, or 7/11 if you prefer.
I'm also disregarding cap situation (since it's simply to difficult for me. ) and expansion draft, but feel free to take these into concideration to make it more realistic.
On offence I would keep Mathews, Tavares and Kerfoot as C 1 2 and 3. Marner and Nyland of course playing wing to Mathews and Tavares, any combination works for me.
As the other two top wingers I could see Thornton, Mikheijev, Hyman or Robertson, maybe Engvall or Barabanov at some point and maybe even Simmonds or Spezza could do part time service if needed or earned.
For the bottom six, the same players would apply.
I'm not setting lines, I'd just try different combination and see what fits.
This makes 13 forwards so it would be dancing chairs with one of the guys sittning in the taxi squad with some of the guys from the group below.
I think Vesey has been a bit of a ghost, Willy deserves all the credit for those two goals. He's been given seven games with the best possible linemates and has done nothing to impress me. He would have to prove himself to get into the line up. The same goes for Anderson, Brooks and Boyd who I don't know at all.
On defence I kind of like what we've got right now.
Rielly - Brodie
Muzzin - Holl
Dermott - Bogosian
However I would like Lehtonen to steal either Dermott's or Bogosian's job. Lehtonen would be a very nice addition to the PP.
I would also like to see Sandin and Liljegren get some games. Would be nice to feel confident that they could be ready for full time service next season.
In goal I would have Freddy as number 1 and give Campbell every fourth game or so depending on scedual. Hopefully he keeps shining and can play a playoff game or two and be our nr 1 or half tandem next season.

After a shaky first couple of games the defense has looked fine. Someone mentioned they are collapsing more effectively than in years past. Even Bogosian has looked OK.
I still want to see your namesake in the lineup sometime soon though. 8) 8) I like your handle, reminds me of Sibelius.
Arn said:Re Vesey - he's fine. I don't think he's bad enough to put out of the lineup. But at the same time I'm not sure he's good enough to be a long term regular. But he's the kind of guy and contract we need. He strikes me as the kind of guy who might get you 5 goals in 12 games then go 20 games without a goal, then another 4 in 13 games kinda thing.
Sorry Arn, I don't agree with Vesey being fine. 2 empty net goals in 7 games playing mainly on the top line with the easiest matchup isn't good. I don't find him to be a good passer or shooter and plays tend to die on his stick much like they did with Hyman his first couple of years. Difference there though was Hyman works his butt off in other areas. I'm hoping he can start doing something but I don't see him being anything more then a 3rd liner at best. I'd like to see Keefe give Mikheyev or Engvall a shot on a top line to see if they can do better and put him with Kerfoot in checking role.Arn said:Re Vesey - he's fine.
