How many points does Nylander have now, in how many games?  He's salvaged the season, for me.

12 points in 21 games.  10 in his last 11.

Thanks.  Equates to 48 points over a full season ... but if he's healthy all next year I could see 60+, i.e., closer to his production over the last 11 games.

So...all season..it finally appears that the Leaf organization, for the first time in my considerable time on this earth,  are
actually planning and operating the way a great organization should be run.

And things are actually you know, breaking our way if we're tearing it down. Pens make the playoffs after a miserable start,
we flip some players for draft picks, get a strong development program going....lose the games we need to lose....

Then we meet the Flyers who are desperate to win, and we beat them.

Truly the Leafian way.  ::)

Yup. The season is wasted and the team is stupid because of something they can't avoid, that we don't want them to preach against and which might have absolutely no impact on where the Leafs finish or where they draft.

They had the option to forfeit. They CHOSE not to.

If I'm going to get mad at a 3-point game from our top prospect, I think I'm done with hockey.  Fortunately I'm perfectly ok with it.

They gave him another assist on the GWG so it is 13 in 21 games, 11 in last 11.

Watched the Game in 6. Nylander is good at hockey.

Also, how on earth did the Flyers think their potential 2-2 goal was going to be called good? Giroux slid right into Bernier in the crease. What a waste of a challenge.

This confused everyone, the SN crew, the Philly crew, Babcock looked incredulous but in the good way...

Stupid, stupid stupid.

Season wasted.

The Moronic Maple Leafs indeed.

I am so disappointed.

Er, uh, you know that we can still finish 30th right?

And that the worst case scenario is finishing 29th! I mean, honestly, some people . . .

I think if you polled everyone on these boards at the start of the season most people would have said that the team wasn't going to finish bottom-2. But yeah, "season wasted".

If anything Lou & Co. pulled off a masterful Tank job. Especially recently in an attempt to clinch it.

I've said it once already, so, here goes, I'll say it again.

This Leafs win was ALL ON THE FLYERS IMHO!  They had a vested interest in winning this game, they CHOSE to LOSE it to a last place, cellar dwelling team.

By beating the Flyers, I kind of like the idea that our Leafs helped out 2 other original 6 teams in Boston and Detroit.

I don't think the players on any team "chooses" to lose. The Flyers just didn't play particularly well, and didn't win. No grand proclamations required.

Don't blame that Leafs for the win, the Flyers played like crap until they tied the game up, then when things were looking much better....they took a stupid penalty (although questionable call) in OT.
