Leafs @ Flyers - Jan. 18th, 8:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

Not sure I understand why the puck goes back inside the zone if it catches a Flyers player in the middle of a line change and bounces off his body into their bench.  Shouldn't that pull the puck to just outside the blueline?

When was the last time Andersen had a really bad game?

October, really. He has let in one or two softies here and there but certainly hasn't cost us a game in months.

That Gostisbehere keep in gif pls.

Yeah, was it really?

It looked cool. It also looked like the puck stayed in when it hit the ice, but I?m not sure if it crossed the plane in the air before it was pawed down.

That's what I think too.  I guess he's not quite at the level to be in the Vezina conversation but he's the next level down.

Either way it was a nice play.  He looked like dynamite the whole PP.

Anybody else notice that the Leafs have barely dumped the puck in the offensive zone and they've looked pretty dangerous so far? Probably a coincidence.

I?ve been trying to watch for this. Is it because the opponent is having trouble removing their options early, allowing them to hold it across? Or are the Leafs doing something different?

So zippy.

Haha Darren Millard acts like he's best friends with Lindros because he interviewed him years ago and Eric ends this one by saying "thanks Doug".

Some of Philly's lines have seemed either more passive on the forecheck or too slow to press quick enough, which has allowed the Leafs more time to make the first pass in their own half, which as you know allows you to then hit the guy in motion cleanly and come through the NZ in possession and without having to hot potato it deep.

When they have dumped it, they've had time to be smart about where they dump it.

Does anybody remember the picture of Lindros in his Leafs uni the day he signed with the team?  I never saw somebody looking so happy.

He's on the periphery of the conversation. It's just that there's this guy in Tampa having a fantastic year for the best team in the league, this other guy in Winnipeg who's suddenly good, and a number of the usual suspects having very good seasons.

It will literally end up being whoever had the most wins in the regular season, so...

He's certainly done a little to validate Lou's decision to acquire him rather than rely on Bernier/Reimer.

Thanks. I missed the first chunk of the period picking up the wife from work.
