Good thing there are no back to back in the playoffs, Babcock wouldn?t feel comfortable playing a goalie back to back.  Only coach in the league that doesn?t play his best goalie in big games.

This isn't a big game for us.
Agreed. It is to the Isles. Just a game for the Leafs and JT to get through.

Yeah I like Sparks as a person but he is too erratic in net. He never knows where his rebounds are going and he never fights through traffic to get a better look at a shot.

Would give anything for Babcock to be gone.
Come on, I can't actually believe you believe that. His record stands for itself, the players respect and do work for him. He has done everything to date he said he would. Tavares came home and others will too.
We are playing tonight without two of our top D men and a back up Goalie that is getting zero support.

I just read that 15% of NHL'ERS had Babcock as a coach they would not want to play for.

Yeah, Marincin might need 3 or 4 more injuries to other guys before he's back in the line-up.
He's really bad. Worst D by far.

Not any worse than Muzzin tonight.  Rielly is the only one who's looked at all decent.

Marincin has been terrible but let's be honest even Muzzin looked really bad tonight. I know it would have been nice for Tavares if Leafs played better but it is what it is. Also that called back goal at 2-2 seemed to take the wind out of them and give the Isles a boost.

Hey Mr. Nine
I guess you may want Barry Trotz for our replacement coach.  Let buy Babs out, make a deal with Lou and return Leafs to the glory days.

I actually think that Freddo is starting to many games and that Sparks thrives on more work, probably should have had at least 3 more in the last month. Their winning record in the last few weeks could allow for one or two losses from Sparks giving Freddo maintenance time.

It takes the smallest thing for this team to completely break down and wilt.

The team has basically played the same since Nylander signed.  Lots of talent, can score in a hurry, but play very lethargic and quit when any team forechecka hard.  They have to change something to win more than 2 games in the playoffs.  They don?t bring it.

Muzz has made bad pinches. Marincin looks lost spinning around. Rielly just looked like crap on that one lol.

What is concerning is that it seems in high pressure games they dont perform as well.  They have trouble in hostile buildings.  They have trouble when play becomes physical.

It is absolutely legitimate to question whether this team can compete in the playoffs as presently constituted.

You mean like when they beat the Lightning?

Okay gotta say it 7-6 Leafs but they gotta get the plug out of Marners ass. Seems to be a repeat of when Auston went home.  Or maybe they just want JT and the rest of the Leafs to get out of the island alive.  I would be checking the bus with sniffer dogs and mirrors on sticks.

I disagree..it is a big game from a teammate standpoint.. they should want to stuff all this nonsense right back in the Islander fan faces. They are a soft team that wilts with pressure. And Sparks is ...Sparks.
