This game could be 3-0 either team.  Chances both ways.  Freddie has made the saves, as usual.  Leafs have had the chances, as usual.  That?s how you get 15 out of 16.

Every game could have 10 goals each if the goalies suck but no the right team is winning here if you were basing it on quality of chances.
Easily. Teams will always have dangerous shifts and plays, but you're right the one that's looked better is on the board vs the one that hasn't looked as good.

Looks like Engvall's gotten a promotion...just got a shift with JT and Willy. Kerfoot was out with Kappy and Spezza.

Engvall has a way of getting the puck, probably because he skates hard always.

Hyman, man. Matthews got that I think

Maybe I was being hyperbolic when I saw he's our only forechecker the other day, but nobody on the team does it as well as he does. No one.
Something else he does well to. Missing open net tap ins lol.

Hyman has no chance of getting a stick on that anyway

I go to take my laundry out and Nylander apparently gets cocky with a pass and Hyman missed a tap in. Since I didn't see either though they're still perfect to me.

Looks like that Engvall shift was just PK recovery timing.

Yeah...or just a brief "hunch" thing. Keefe seems to like to throw out the occasional wrinkle towards the end of a period.

That was a hard shift for Matthews but it was really nice to see him ass out his check to claim the puck for good and still put on some gas to get some zone time. Period was basically up so might as well.

Jets are smothering the leafs last 4-5 minutes.  No worries, leafs take a 2-0 lead into the 1st intermission.

Not that this is news or anything, but Noodles is about 400 or 500 times more more better than Millen.

Amen!

Cuthbert is also a really good PbP guy. Neither is quite as good as the A-team of Gord & Ray, but they're still miles better than any broadcast crew that SN/CBC can trot out.

Nylander picked up this area pass on his backhand and converted the no look wrister surrounded by Jets.

Bob coming through with the math

Put me down as a convert on Willie.  I didn't like the deal but he's getting better by the week.

Hurray! But don?t get too caught up in the points. Willy?s been playing this way for a long time. The puck?s just starting to go in more lately.

It wasn't the points or anything in particular that had me on the other side. I didn't think he was as close to the big 3 as he is and thought by getting him signed lower it would have been a good benchmark for team. He is better than I thought he would be.
