That bad eh? Lol.

Shot attempts are 17-6. The Jets are all over the Leafs D.

Glad I'm not missing anything.  I would be home for the third period.

Watched last nights game on leafs tv late with game in an hour. A little less painful that way.

Reminds me of the 80's, when the most frequent line by the commentators about the Leafs was "cleared but not out"

Hey Cherry, Giroux didn't get cut on the achilles tendon.  That sock wouldn't have prevented the injury.

I really am amazed that there aren't more skate-related injuries in the NHL.

It really makes it hard to believe that the Players Association is overly concerned about player safety.I mean the mandating of a neckguard and the kevlar socks etc makes it a no brainer, doesnt it?

He also was wearing kevlar-socks apparently that helped limit the damage.

I think it should be player's choice on the kevlar socks (I hated them when I tried them) - and there's nothing life threatening there - but the neck guard should be mandatory imo.

Jets had the puck for almost half the period.

How the French Connection UK does Carlyle still have a job? Its beyond ridiculous now.

Those socks come half way up your calf.

To be clear.  I wear those socks myself.  They aren't that expensive.  The issue is that they will do a good job of preventing a clear severing but they don't prevent lacerations from happening.  That's what Giroux has.

My team wears them. You are correct, it wont prevent them, but it will prevent serious injuries.
