I just have to wrap my head around the high sensitivity level and uber political correctness of this forum.  Takes some getting used to is all, given the polar opposite nature of that other place.

If by high sensitivity and uber political correctness, you mean basic standards of human decency and respectfulness. And, the expectation that jokes should, you know, actually be funny.

Ah yes because the passive aggressive approach is so much better.

Well, hello, Pot. Nice to meet you. I'm Kettle.

Here's a tip - if it's distasteful, don't post it, because it's not going to go over well here.

Or if its meant in jest, which was even stated in the post, the holier than thou approach need not be taken.  May he that is without sin cast the first stone and all.

No. Even in jest. Don't post it. It's not funny, it's not necessary, it's not appropriate, and it's not wanted.

To some.  Its not funny to some.  Plenty laugh when reference to that tweet is made.  Mainly because of the network's highly embarrassing moment in time of posting it on TV.  But if you really want to exacerbate a non issue because one poster simply said "gross", all the power to ya.

It's not funny to the members of this community. You either need to accept the community standards around here - something you've had issues with in the past - or move on to another message board.

Couldn't have said it better. This will be the last point made on the topic. Back to hockey.

Chill.

I didn't think it was funny either.  Keep it clean, it's a better place to hang out because of it.

Have a thick skin, enjoy the debates, but don't resort to personal attacks on anyone and you'll feel better about it.

Sure some people will get a little aggressive here and there, but don't go there with them.  It takes a bigger person to just let it go. You move on and just contribute and learn from good hockey conversation and debate.

Edit:  Sorry Carlton, didn't see your post until after.

Lets get back to chatting about the game. Mr Lupul was a good player with no health luck. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Anyways I predict 3 -2 Leafs in OT....

They're honouring Bobby Hull and he's not even there? Winnipeg haha.

But Hedberg & Nilsson are into it.  That's good.

I just remembered that those players aren't even technically associated with this franchise.
