Guys,  I am a bias I have that. Watching the game here and the shot count is 5 to one. But IMO TO has had the majority of the play. Any one else noticing that?

I think you're confusing the Lightning for the Leafs. Puck has been in the Leafs' end a lot.

and that is two.

Yes, the few shots the Leafs have managed have found their way into the net at a good pace. They've still been chasing the puck in their end more than they should be comfortable with.

Hello Dave Nonis,

Have you noticed that the Leafs continue to play exactly the same way game after game under Randy Carlyle and the only thing that saves them is when they post an insane shooting percentage?

Signed,
The Fanbase.

And great goal tending

mirtle: Leafs outshot 13-2 at even strength. Have only 20% of shot attempts. Lead 2-0 after one period. Makes sense.

Jives with the way I saw the period. Most of it spent in the neutral zone or Leafs' zone. Almost all offensive time for Leafs was one attempt at the net and out.

Once again the Leafs getting outplayed but have the offensive skills to cover-it up. How often do Leafs lose a game but we think they should have won that game...zero times. And when they win a game they usually shoudn't have.

Also getting tired of Millen and Romanuk (whatever his name is) acting like the Leafs are playing well. "2 goals on 4 shots, as a Leafs fan, you've got to be happy with that." No, no I don't. I'd rather see them play a solid game than get dominated for a period and score opportunistic goals.

Shots are 17-4.  Carlyle hockey at its best.

One post so far this period. No actual shots on net. Vintage Carlyle.

And after the game he will talk about compete, that we didn't battle for the puck hard enough on dump ins and say the team needs to practice their defensive play.  Rinse, cycle, repeat.

More than half the roster has been turned over with Carlyle behind the bench, and it's just an absolute constant outcome.

And there's the completely unsurprising tying goal. Leafs are doing a good job of beating Bishop when they do put the puck on net, though, so, that's something . . .
