Leafs @ Oilers - Dec. 14th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

So yet another game where the Leafs can?t buy powerplay opportunities.  I?m just struggling to see how this team doesn?t draw more opportunities.

Good win.  Winning 3 of 4 on the road is something I?ll gladly take

And they didn't fold in the 3rd, especially after EDM cut it to 2-1.  That was super.

Edmonton basically lost that game kind of the way the Leafs tend to.
Give up the first goal, chase hard and get one late but give up a couple of oopsies and the score goes out of reach.

I simply cannot fathom how there wasn't a penalty call on the Edmonton goalie when he threw a pick on Hyman. It was blatant.

Time to get Soup or Engvall on that Matthews line. Him and Nylander were both far from at their best tonight but that trio just doesn't work.

Would like to see Engvall get a, shot

Holl went 12-9 in shot attempts in 11+ minutes against McDavid tonight. All I want for Christmas is a long-term cap friendly contract extension for him.

One point from Nylander in the last seven games.

Maybe it's time to try both Milkeyev and Engvall up flanking Matthews.

Good game overall and an important win.

Surprised how ineffective McDraisatl were but Leafs played good defense against them for the most part.

Kappy does not belong on that line with AM and WN. Just doesn't look like a fit. I'd be looking to try either Kerfoot or Mikheyev or Engval, or maybe even Moore when he is back. Mikheyev makes so many smart plays with the puck, he might do well on that line.

Nice goal by the Goat.

If they were going to do something crazy like that, and yeah maybe it's not a bad idea to just try it, I'd go with:

Kerfoot-Matthews-Mikheyev
Engvall-Nylander-Kapanen

Or something like that. Keefe originally knew Nylander as a centre (on the Marlies).

Wouldn't be something I'd want to do long-term but we're in an experimentation phase right now.

Could also just do Kerfoot-Matthews-Nylander with Spezza at 3C and Goat at 4C.
