Well, apologies for the overstatement.  I don't usually agree with you, but so what?  Still, Fire Dubas doesn't add anything, even you are frustrated.  That's what set me off.

Just saying. It really feels as though this group needs some kind of miracle fix in the form of a solid goalie, defense and a dash of grit. How anything gets done trade wise without him getting fleeced, I don't know. Up against the cap, too much dough tied up in forward group, no 1st rounder, wrong offseason acquisitions (Barrrie, Ceci). This season is a disaster.

I'd actually be shocked if Dubas got canned. I think he will be safe since Keefe came aboard part way through. If the poor efforts continue I'd like to see them blow this roster up sooner rather than later.

This isn?t a surprise.  Hutch is terrible.  They are generally a bad defensive team and with even average goaltending the team is touch and go to win.  Add Hutch to the mix and this is what happens.  It may be better for the long run for them to miss the playoffs.  There will be takers for Barrie and Muzzin (assuming they can?t sign him) at the deadline. Come back next year fresh, but with a backup goaltender!

I mean, that's the consensus, right?  Yet there was a long discussion in one of the threads yesterday where people were saying they've been fine (or at least not terrabad) since Keefe took over.  I didn't get that at all.  The underlying reality is the same as it's been for ... years.  Like Burke said, a guy like Andersen can bail them out.  Lesser goalies, not a chance.
Every team has its issues at times defensively. St Louis was in last place until Biddington came along. The offensive players are so good these days that you have to have a great goalie or your done.

How many shots there if it went in would they say "Oh it's all on the forwards" when this goalie shut the fucking door on those chances??? I'm so sick of commentary apologizing for bad goaltending.

If you cloned Hutch and put him in NYR net there's no way this game is 3-1. Sometimes you need your goalie to make a damn save.

A surprising amount of the team?s current ?poor play? is due to bad goaltending and terrible luck. They are missing sure thing chances in the offensive end and absolutely everything is going in at the other end.

While there's a fair amount I agree with, I think the forward corps is in good shape ? really very good shape, if Mikheyev and Engvall continue to look like finds.  The defense is all out of whack, and that definitely needs an overhaul, which will be coming next season.  Right now Dubas has limited himself.

I'd like to see how badly they are getting PDO'd. It's no surprise that the team under Keefe is 4th in pts percentage since he took over is a good team generally when Andersen is playing. Sorry but a team playing a barely AHL goaltender, even a very good team, is going to be bad. Someone brought it up earlier, just ask how St. Louis felt about Jake Allen.

The Nylander shot was basically one intended to generate a rebound and was basically a pass.

It?s unacceptable for the Rangers to give up an odd man rush......oh wait their goaltender doesn?t suck

All chances given up by the opposition is acceptable because it's not the Leafs.

Kapanen shot there on the 2 on 1 and drew a small rebound, but Millen was right otherwise about passing up scoring chances, too much of that.
