It's very weird to think of CityTV showing Leafs games. I'm going to half expect Mark Daly to do the VO after the game saying "Well, that sucked Leafs fans, maybe the Late Great Movie will be better...oof, it's Superman III. Well, better luck tomorrow night."

turnaround game or early plunge to the bottom?

If Reimer plays like he did late last season tonight, I'm guessing plunge.

Sad to see Percy scratched, he has been fun to watch so far.

To be clear, the Franson/Percy swap isn't confirmed yet, just likely. And with no morning skate today we won't find out who's in or out until tonight.

Good opportunity for a bounce-back game.  Rangers are insanely weak down the middle.  ESPN only has 3 centers even listed for them: Brassard, Moore and someone else I'd never heard of.  Strong on the wing like the Leafs.  Strong on defense.

One word = Lundqvist

Leafs aren't that strong down the middle either. Can't get the puck out of their own zone as well.

sad thing third game of year and I am not all excited to watch... Hope Reimer can take the ball and run with it.. He has a chance here..IF he sits Percy who is arguablly been there best player for two games I don't know what to say. Sit Gardiner. He has been brutal

I'd really like it if we start evaluating Clarkson as a regular player and not based on his play last year moving forward now.  He's looked a lot better than last year in that he's not falling over every time someone skates near him, but I'm still finding him to be pretty useless at receiving cross-ice passes.

His play down low in the offensive zone has been pretty good and I do like that he has been working hard in front of the net on the 2nd powerplay unit.  At the same time, I find that he's a bit of a puck sink though as he gets tunnel vision and doesn't really look to find his teammates so much as try to force plays.

Agreed, his play so far has been much better then last year and I think he will play a bit harder once he has that cage off. But still putting him on the first line made me shake my head in wonder. I think we will have to look at everyone that way for the first 20 games or so. New asst coaches, systems and players will need time to gel tho Leafs Nation is notorious for having little if any patience.

It will be interesting to see which team shows up for Reims tonight. I would hate for them to put in a great performance and see the controversy we had last year start all over again.

GO LEAFS GO!!!
